Work on the digital archive of journals from the funds of the Institute of Czech Literature of the CAS has been in progress since 2001. The gradual transformation of these documents into electronic form was necessitated by the progressive devastation of journals, and a growing demand for their use. The physical condition and lending frequency were the main criteria for the transformation of individual journals.
