Database of content of liturgical manuscripts LIMUP

The database comprises catalogue entries of liturgical manuscripts of Czech Middle Ages and Early Modern Age. Czech notated graduals (hymn books) and selected Latin graduals, or antiphonals, were addressed in detail. As a result, it is possible to find in the database a textual incipit of each liturgical song, reading, prayer, section, marginalia, etc. contained in the relevant sources. Each item further includes a liturgical and musicological identification, comments on notation, location, or other comments, where applicable. Various aspects can be used for searching (signature of the manuscripts, place of deposit, type of book, date, textual incipits of songs), including a combination thereof.
